Floating Worlds - Below The Sea Of Light ~ Album review

After their first album "Only A Dream, Can Kill A Dream", the Greek band Floating Worlds are back with a second album titled "Below The Sea Light" which contains 8 tracks.

After listening to the album a couple of times, I noticed that it combines some different kinds. Some of the songs tend to the progressive metal, when others are very close to the power metal; a touch of melody in every song makes the band define their own style.

Each one of the members showed his skills in this album, the beauty of the riffs and the solos manifests in its simplicity; the drums and bass are well worked; concerning Christine Kolliopoulou, she didn't only excel in the keyboards but also in the backing vocal beside the awesome voice of Jon Soti!
The album is opened and closed by 2 instrumental tracks composed by the guitarist Andreas V  (Garden of souls & Revenge) by which you can get an idea about the members and their talents; it represents the band I would say!
We can notice a progress and improve in the music and lyrics compared to the first album!
So yeah , if you want to chill out after a long day work or you want to relax Sunday evening to get ready to a new week I suggest to you "Below the sea of light", an album that will be appreciate by power , progressive and melodic metal fans ! Just give it a listen, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Check out the band here.
